New SQT resources for 2009-2010
The
world is changing: the
global banking crisis, the credit crunch and a financial downturn in
the UK will all have an impact on young people.
Citizenship
Education – including political literacy, social and moral
understanding, participation, identity and diversity – has never been
more relevant.
To help teachers and students with these
challenging topics, there are new and revised SQT resources. They are
designed to support the citizenship curriculum and the teaching of
Political Literacy. The resources are timely, with under a year to the next General
Election a special Voting and Elections Toolkit has been released to
help students understand the processes that govern them.
